Dr. David Shiffman is a marine conservation biologist who studies threatened species of sharks and how to protect them. An award-winning public science educator, he’s given invited talks on all seven continents and has spoken to school groups in all 50 US states. His writings have appeared in National Geographic, the Washington Post, and Scientific American, and he has a monthly column in SCUBA Diving Magazine. He has been interviewed on CNN, NPR, the New York Times, and media outlets all over the world. Dr. Shiffman‘s 2022 book “Why Sharks Matter” resulted in a 50 city speaking tour.
